There are two types of inguinal hernias. The indirect usually presents with a swelling, the direct usually has no visible swelling.
Both types lead to a weakness in the inguinal area, which can affect the pelvic girdle, so these patients often present with
- Sacroiliac pain
- Pubic Symphysis pain
- Radiating sciatic pain
- Low back pain.
